Brunswick Landing Marina, Brunswick, GA (by Jim)

Our greeting committee as we arrived at Brunswick Landing Marina. Sherry, Cindy, and Killer the "Dock Greeter" who seems to greet all boaters.

Wild horses on Little Cumberland Island. We probably saw a dozen horses on our trip to Brunswick from Fernandina.

Fernandina Harbor Marina (by Jim)

It's hard to believe we're leaving Fernandina this morning. We've been here since Saturday and have really enjoyed our stay. This is a picture of the marina and the downtown area taken from our boat in the mooring field.

We normally leave an anchorage by 7:00 am but we need to plan our arrival in Jekyll Sound around a rising tide, so we will be leaving here about 10:30 am. We will be heading north up Jekyll Creek with a final destination of Brunswick, GA. We plan on staying in Brunswick for several weeks before continuing further north.

Eagles (by Jim)

We left St. Augustine at 7am, April 23, and arrived in Fernandina Beach around 3pm. We are currently on a mooring ball across the ICW from Fernandina Harbor Marina. We plan to stay until Wednesday morning.

We've had three travel days in the past week. In that time Paula has spotted 15 Bald Eagles! Here are pictures of two of them!

Check out the sign!

St Augustine music (by Jim)

We found this guy in St. Augustine and really enjoyed his talent. We had never seen someone really "play" water music! Turn on your speakers and enjoy!!

These chimes are at Flagler College. A nice change from just bells. Enjoy!

The huge stainless steel cross that you can see from all over the St Augustine inlet. As seen from the land side.

A sail boat that anchored and didn't plan for the 5 ft change in tide.

One of the prettiest sunrises that Paula has ever captured.

More Eagles (by Jim)

We left Daytona at 7:30am heading for St. Augustine. What a great day on the water! Paula thought yesterday was good when she spotted four Bald Eagles by the end of the day. Today she spotted six! Including these two in a tree. One was in the tree and the other was flying with a juvenile eagle when we first spotted them. If you look closely you can see that the one on the left is yelling at the other!

Paula caught this Snowy Egret just as he was coming in for a landing.

We are currently on a mooring ball in St. Augustine. We plan on staying until Saturday unless the weather turns bad. When we leave here we will go to Fernandina Beach. We plan to stay there for several days, also on a mooring, before heading further north.

On the move again (by Jim)

We left Titusville on April 19 and traveled to Daytona Beach, where we anchored just north of the Seabreeze bridge. Our friends, Jim and Judy, live in a nice condo there and invited us in for adult beverages and a really good meal. Paula thought it was a really great day because she spotted four Bald Eagles. She caught this one in a tree as we passed.

When we got to our anchorage we found a crab pot right in the middle of where we wanted to anchor so I put the anchor down and then jumped in the dink and moved the pot to a better spot for catching crabs!

Of course after I worked I got a chance to play and Paula as usual caught it on film!!
